Back home

I am back home again after a trip to Cleveland to visit family and a trip to Columbus, Ohio for a hands on workshop with Michael Gibson. It's always good to visit family and the workshop with Michael Gibson was just as good or even better than I expected it to be. He is a very classy guy and just fun to be around. There were nine of us in the class so he got to spend time with each of us on a regular basis getting to know us and evaluate our strengths and weaknesses. When you spend time with someone who has that much talent you can bet that you are going to come away with some knowledge that you didn't have before. On top of that it's just fun being around other people who have the same interest that you do. How much money you make or what you do for a living just doesn't matter when you have a piece of wood in the lathe and you are trying to help each other. All of a sudden you are all equal and the playing field is level. It's an experience that translates so well into life! We were all created equal and we all have so many things in common, just think what we could accomplish if we looked past our differences, only saw the similarities and tried to help each other.
